A template is used to create a page; it also defines the specifications of the layout and regulates which

  • mandatory and optional metadata are captured in the page properties; and
  • components can be used on the template.

This chapter explains the following points: 

 

Page Properties for all templates

Page Title*Title of the page which is shown in Google search results and in the AEM tree navigation. For best search engine ranking results, a minimum of 50—55 characters (including white spaces) and a maximum of 70 characters should be used. If there is no page claim, navigation title or name set, the title is then used as a fall back.
Page Title SuffixA standard suffix can be set, but does not need to be set for the page title. However, the suffix that was first set can be overwritten. The new suffix is then set in this field. This is especially used for centres or topics of focus.
Cancel Page Title Suffix inheritance
This checkbox has to be checked if the preliminarily defined suffix needs to be overwritten.
Name*
Defines the page URL. Will be generated based on the title if not explicitly specified. Use lower case for increased search engine ranking. For best practice URL please look up the “Online Writing Manual”. exp.(aufenthalt-privatversicherte)
Page Claim
H1 title of the page. If not defined, the page title will be used in one line. Add the claim on two lines (use [enter] for a new line).
Navigation Title
When a shorter / different title needs to be displayed as the navigation entry used to link the page to the context navigation. Unless explicitly specified, the title will be used. This title is also used in most of the list components.
Description
Description used within the HTML of the page to be displayed in search engine result pages as an appealing description. Not visible for users on the page itself. Use a maximum of 130–150 characters (including white spaces). For a best practice description, please look up the “Online Writing Manual”.
On-off Time
The on-off time is set to schedule either activation or deactivation of the page. This is especially used in the context of events.

Hide Page Tools
The sharing option and the ReadSpeaker function will be disabled with this option.
Enable Context Navigation
If enabled, the context navigation is shown at the top of the page.
Redirect
Lets you select the page to which the user will be redirected when they open this page. Do not use it to automatically redirect to a subpage. Redi-rects should only be used in special cases.
Alias
An alternative title for the page name (e.g. for other languages). It is man-datory to set an alias for a language copy.
Hide in Navigation
This option hides the current page in the navigation. The user can only access this page with the direct link.
Page Layout
Currently, this option allows you to change the styling especially for “Hirslanden Baby” pages.
Specific Error Pages
This is particularly used for events. It directs an active page to a specific error page once the event is out of date.
Closed User Group
Is used especially for login pages. A user group can be defined.

LabelDescription
og:title
Is used for the social media share titles field. If not set, the title will be used.
og:description
Is used for the social media share description field. If not set, the descrip-tion from the basic tab will be used.
Indexing
Prevents page from being indexed.
Canonical
Lets you select a page or type a link for the “original” page that should rank in search engines.
Hide in Sitemap
This function lets you hide the page in the sitemap. This means that this page will not be written in the sitemap.xml file.

IMAGE

LabelDescription
ImageThe image you insert in this option will be used as a preview picture in the CMS navigation or will be used in some special templates as a preview picture on the website (e.g. publications or events).
Alternative Text
Provides a textual alternative of the content and function of the image. This is used on the language copies.

CONFIGURATION PAGE

The purpose of the configuration page is to define the language of the following subsites. It also defines cer-tain layout definitions and technical specifications such as navigation, logo, header, footer and cookie banner.

This template is a technical template only and will not be shown or made visible as as page on the live system.

For special login areas (baby upload) the logout page can be linked.
FMHS
Choose the corresponding FMHS which are offered at the clinic. For corporate no FMHS have to be chosen.
